How Can I Know

How can I know?
A distant sunrise.
A beauty amplified.
Gazing awe struck eyes.
How can I know?
The rains that fall
or the winds that squall
or the songbirds call.
How can I know?
The breeze in your hair
or a stroll without a care.
The scent of flowers everywhere.
How can I know?
The sand beneath your feet
or the waves of the sea
or a heart filled with peace.
How can I know?
My rhapsody so sublime.
You reading these words one at a time.
I see the gleam in your eyes,
and that is how I know.
