How Much Do You Love Me!

How much do you love me, he
asked her again
She said. I love you this
much as she spreads her
arms as wide as she can.
All through her life with it's
ups and downs, no self esteem
from being beaten down, her answer
would always be the same.
How much do you love me?
I love you this much as she spreads
her arms as wide as she can.
As she lies alone in her bed
waiting for her last breath to come
she hears a voice as an image
flashes through her head.
A man on a cross with stakes
drove through his hands. As he
draws his last breath, he asked
her again.
How much do you love me?
A gentle smile crosses her face as
she draws her last breath, she says
I love you this much as she spreads
her arms as wide as she can.
