How Often

How often do I ask my feet how it feels to walk
My eyes to see
Or arms to carry my son

How often do I wake up like it's the first day of my life
And spend it as though it's my last

How often do I notice the vibrant colors of life beaming from a rose
Or camouflaging a snow leopard

Life is too short wise elders say
And yet I treat tomorrows like everydays

Tomorrow perhaps will be the day I stop taking time for granted

Experience life through my feet

Tomorrow perhaps will be the day the colors of life flow through me
