Hues of Skin

The difference of our shades of skin
Have brought society to sin.
They say we are equal, we are one
but the superiority and rights of whites gives blacks none.
Oh segregation is done?
It may not be present physically
but they separate us mentally,
thinking one black man is not as smart as a white one.
Society has made European features so desirable
but African's deniable.
Blacks are free you say?
Even though the chains may
not be physical they seem to be a symbol,
that society has limited freedom to the tone of your skin;
it's simple.
