Human Being

As a human being,
I am frail,
I am weak.
I weep and wail,
and hardly sleep.

I'm not as strong as I once was;
I've been broken down,
pushed over the edge.
But I choose to stick around,
so I grab 'hold of the ledge.

I'm crying out for help,
I can't do this on my own-
I just need a hand,
to prove I'm not alone.
