Human Cilia

And then it started.
And she said "Turn off the lights".
And the human cilia crawled out
of their pores
and every hush and creep was felt deep within the
core of their being.

And limbs
and strength
and body weight settled,
and mushed the one underneath.

Breaths improvised to
the chords of one another.
The acoustic drone of the
music swashed over the remaining articles.

Now all was just entangled skin
and jellied bones.

But when their lips touched,
in the middle of it all,
their embodied souls
felt the rhythm
of their eternal hearts
and forever became forever again.
