Humanity

We see, but are blinded by flesh
We hear, but do not comprehend
We touch, but only a layer or two
We think, yet do not understand
We know that there is wind
Its origin and color unknown
We predict and analyse
Yet our control has not grown
What if we forgot the natural?
What if we saw with our eyes closed?
What if our touch had more depth?
What if our thoughts were all exposed?
We claim to be the most advanced
We say we know it all
Yet do we really understand?
Can we really be so proud and stand so tall?
The more in-depth we go,
The more our expectations grow
