Humans

Beggars rise. Sultans fall.
Confusion spreads, curiosity rises.
Perhaps tis the way of human life.
I'll never understand why humans become devastated.
I'll never understand why they can't get over betrayal.
Why do they not understand that everything comes with an alternative?
Hate comes with love.
Pain comes with relief.
Why must they be so selfish?
Why must they feel so gravely?
Don't they understand,
that one lives a life worse than the worst they can imagine?
Why must they throw away everything that's their's?
Why must they take what's other's?
Why can't they keep peace?
Why can't they stop starting wars, causing terror?
When will they stop blaming others for a fault that's only their's?
Have they no heart, or have they become ignorant?
I'll never understand why humans ought to become devastated;
As they show ignorance to the devastation spread across the world.
I'll never understand why they can't get over betrayal,
when they lie much too easily,
when cause pain to others,
then blame others for causing them pain.
Beggars rise, sultans fall.
Confusion spreads, curiosity rises.
Perhaps tis the way of human life.
