Hungry Yet Infatuated

I swallowed the love you gave me.
I gobbled it up and I loved every minute of that romance you gave.
Despite every flaw, I found you intriguing, day after wretched day.
But after all this, I swallowed the infatuation.
I feasted upon the lovely days we had.
And yes, I ate your love, for I cannot stomach the idea of losing you
