Hurricane Katrina

On the night of the full moon
Came the sea faring beast
Invisible and invincible
With his power unleashed

Lass or lad
All were bashed
In their natives
Of delight and sad

Admist the chaos
Death had her way
Hope was lost
Living had no say

The long night was over
Came the break of dawn
Nature is almighty
Beast was just a pawn

That thrashing katrina
Will be yore
In arteries of the people
Survived at the shore.
