Hush

Hush

The crack of whips echoed against,
The back of the sky.
Scarring it momentarily with wild,
White bolts.

Claps of thunder beat the gloomy canvas and,
Water bled from the swollen clouds,
Dripping into the sea.
Choking the sea began to,
Thrash in retaliation.

Gusts of wind cut back at the sea,
Pushing it from side to side.
Stirring the beasts beneath,
Who have no place to hide.

Suddenly a break!
The cracking whips and beatings ceased
A hush set in and calmed all parties
Now the night resumes with peace.
