Hush Now, Dear Sisters

Hush now, dear sisters, now don't you cry
even though our family is falling
apart in front of your eyes,
we're going
through some trouble; it's gonna be
alight
so just take my hand and hold
on tight
mom gives up her food so her
children won't starve to death
she would give up anything for us-even her last breath
You know she's not a bad mother; she's trying
so hush, little ones, and just stop crying
Even though she's not working
she's staying home
trying to stop the hurting
so hush now,
dear sisters, now don't you cry
even though
our family's falling apart in front of your eyes.
