‘Hypocrisis’

Stable laws but seeking eyes,
A major leap but trembling skies,
Huge structures but tiny voice,
Million options and still no choice.

High production but people die,
Stated objectives but the bird won't fly,
Being human but graver crimes,
No intention and still it rhymes.

Seamless stars but a yawning night,
Miles above but scared of height,
Heavy words but a speechless mind,
See through vision and we still blind.

Different roads but cross at one,
Hate speech but call it pun,
Romeo Juliet but constant raids,
Ideal love and still it fades.

Figures in dollars, debts of joy
Deploying armies, nought to destroy
Rivers changing course, planets their game
Atoms preach freedom, and we still the same.
