I Am

I am a lot of things,
I am unknown
My mystery unravels as Father Time ticks
God is my artist; His strokes are unique
He put me together with the guidance of His heart
The world is strange; humans as the center
I witness the people tearing each other apart
Racism, ADHD, Violence, War, all things horrible
I witness myself as a victim of ADHD
Demons of hatred shoot me with their accursed arrows
I witness my parents as a victim of regret
Demons of averageness swim in their thoughts
I witness my uncle as a victim of death
Demons of murder fill his body and drag him to his grave
I witness my grandfather as a victim of homelessness
Demons of poverty fill his pockets with sadness
All things I witnessed, sleeping at the bottom of my heart
But always keep your head high; God is on His way
Sending angels along the way
Anger perishes by the sword of happiness
I look in the mirror
I see my beautiful black skin
I see a young boy
I grab my pencil of memory and my paper of life
I draw my life
I am Kareem.
