I am a fighter

I found out I had Chiari when
I was only nine years old,
I had MRI's on my spine and on my brain.
My doctor told me all about Chiari
I had to wear a brace;
but it surely didn't work
so I had to have brain surgery,
which is called decompression.
I had four covid test
before I could do the surgery,
I was brave and fought through it.
I am 10 years old and had decompression surgery,
the doctor shaved a little bit of my hair
and cut my skull, they took out a bone
and sewed it back up,
I was in pain
but today I am ok
I am a warrior
and ill forever be a fighter.
My name is Riley and I am
a brain surgery survivor.
