I Am Free
I have my wings so I can flyI will look back and wave goodbye
I'm almost there I've finished the race
My reward is that I get to walk through that golden gate
When you're done crying then you will see
That I'm better off when it's just Father and me
I've stayed with you for so many years
Now I'm gone so remember the laughs and cheers
On Earth I've been through a lot of pain
But in Heaven it won't ever be the same
My story has ended but don't close the book
Because it wouldn't hurt to take another look
Instead of crying just look up and say,
Thank you Lord for taking her away
Because up there at least you know that I will be safe
And you will know that I will be in a better place
I'm not sad so you shouldn't be
Because now I'm glad to say that I am free
