I AM FROM AFRICAN TRIBES

I am from African Tribes,
Black pride, and
Brooklyn vibes,
Long box braids,
And cornrows with beads moving to the
rhythm of the beats to your soul.

I am from strong women who
bore even stronger sons and daughters who
fear nothing no matter how big. So strong that would be considered
fierce human lions
that rules their kingdoms.

I have been to the motherland.
I have seen how my people live.
I am now know how grateful I am to live in this country, the land of the free.
Being a citizen in this country doesn’t mean anything to someone
until you leave and see how the other half of the world lives.

I AM FROM AFRICAN TRIBES AND BOX BRAIDS.
