I am Janae

Depression hit me like a rock
Everyone said I’d get through it,
I was all alone.

I had anger, tears and lots of fears.
Counseling, doctors and nightmares.
Nothing will help;
I will never be better.
You went to jail, I thought I would die.

They sent me to this group,
And slowly healing came.
People care,
I’m not alone.

I thank my sister and God for bringing it to light.
What was really going on.
And now I must fight
To get back what was taken.

I’m better than I was back then.
I’m thankful for the person I am.
I am Janae.
