I Am Jekyll, I Am Hyde

Fleeting images in the corner of my eye,
a trick of the light or could it be Hyde?
Trying to determine my enemy's health
- insanity has difficulty judging itself.
One thing happens then they keep adding up
I'm feeling vanity for my sanity, but,
Jekyll's still in there just biding for time;
can't even tell if this is his voice or mine.
Awake while asleep; there is no rest
Keeping calm is the ultimate test.
Eyes wide open, can't move or breath
Get this imaginary weight off of me!
Meditation, it seems, is the wrong awareness
A mental state Jekyll hates to mess with.
I wish the voices said less than Hi;
Paranoia has settled in:the end is nigh.
