I Am No Longer Immortal

I am no longer immortal
I have no need to fear the light
I have no need for my coffin
And I can taste the mortal night

I am no longer immortal
The days can wear me now
The sun can pass me over
But only time will burn me down

I am no longer immortal
And the chains of fear
They wear me how
To them my pride succumbs
I have no need to fear the sunlight
But my days are fought with drums

I am no longer immortal
To an end I will be found
Till I wither in the shadow
Of fortune never found
