“I Am,” the Light of the World

"I am the light of the world
My peace I give unto you
I now go away to prepare a place for you
That where I am you can be too"

Jesus stood at the great feast and cried aloud,
"If you thirst come unto me
I will give you living waters, spring up in your soul
Like a well and it is free"

Jesus stepped to the bow of a ship one day
That was tossed to and fro by the waves
"Peace be still," they heard Jesus say
The winds and the waves did obey!

Jesus stood at the tomb of Lazarus that day
Said, "Lazarus, come forth," from the grave
"I am the resurrection and the life," Jesus said,
Lazarus came forth from the dead.

He is the corn of wheat, the bread of life,
The manna sent down from above
He is the word, flesh and spirit, so, said John,
So we know that these three are one
