I Am Tired

I am tired of the way I feel
Every time I go out
The stares I see as I walk
Their eyes are filled with doubt

I am tired of the weary eyes
Watching me try my best
Yet knowing that the real world
Puts me to the impossible test

I am tired of the way I look
And what it is causing me
To believe of my see worth
Boundaries I'm trying to flee

I am tired of the way I see this world
From the colored lens of racism
If only society could use another light
Without the works of a twisted system

I am tired of the unbeatable rules
That seem to imprison
The freedom I desperately need
When will I give in.
