I Am What I Am

I am from a family of frying, baking, and cooking together
I am from a family of playing and challenging each other
I am from a family of gathering with cousins, aunts and uncles
I am from a family of praying at gatherings
I am from a family of eating stuffed turkey and elaborate meals

I am from a family of teachers
I am from a house of mentors
I am from a school of helping
I am from a school with friends to help
I am from a community of teachers, friends, mentors and helpers

I am from a basketball team
I am from a special reading corner
I am from a street of lay-ups
I am from a house of studying math and playing hard
I am from a relaxing and helpful academic family

I am from a family of supporting dreams and hopes
I am from a house of insanity with sports
I am from faith-centered community and family
I am from a community who wants me to thrive
I am from a house of extracurricular activities.
