I Cannot Fall Asleep at Night

I cannot fall asleep at night
There simply is no way.
I toss and turn in bed
Until the break of day.

The wooden boards are creaking
From the planks upon the floor.
My room is echoing with squeaks
From the hinges on the door.

I look outside the window
And it’s a night owl that I see.
It hoots a mellow song
As it’s sitting from its tree.

The faucet is a drippin’
From the leaky bathroom sink.
Monsters are partying from beneath my bed,
At least, that’s what I think!

I hear witches in the darkness,
And the howling of a ghoul.
I cannot fall asleep at night
But I sleep all day at school.
