I Come From

I come from the efforts, hopes, and dreams of two people.
Who came from Mexico City chasing the American Dream to Minnesota.
I come from the passion and determination of a young couple.
To find a better life than the one left in there dear native land.

I come from a household of six.
Where I am the eldest and the role model.
That will lead the three younger treasures of the family.
To a more brighter future.

I come from the heart of Minneapolis.
Where people never sleep.
To a urban area of Brooklyn Center.
Were the trains are restless.
Stars are clear in the sky.

I come from the efforts, hopes, and dreams of two people.
Who work day and night to provide for this large family.
Yes I come from these two strong people.
Who I am proud to be their daughter.
