I Did Not Love You Enough

You gave love to me, mother, my creator,
What beauty heaven has brought the earth.
And even though life couldn’t get greater,
Every small thing still has it’s worth.

You never got to choose the life you wanted,
You had four kids, what a pain in the ass;
Never made me feel like I was unwanted,
Made my life as if I was in first class.

One day, tragic day, you cried for my help.
I came, I left, I spoke, my words attack,
Anger about last night: I can’t help.
I left, you left, but you didn’t come back.

And every day couldn’t get more rough,
Sorry, mom, I did not love you enough.
