I Don’t Speak
I don't speak
Because I won't waste words on insincere chatter.
I don't fit
Because I refuse to compromise myself for companionship.
I don't know
Because I don't have enough bricks to build immovable Opinion.
I'm not sure who I am
Because everything around me tells me to change:
Not talented enough! Not intelligent enough! Not human enough!
Their demands push me into a corner,
Their scoffs and scorn draw blood,
And then they have the audacity to ask
Why I feel insignificant.
