I Dreamed

As the dawn began to creep
I fell into a second sleep
Through golden light and waters deep
His vision came to taunt me

I saw my love as in repose
The soft light did his flesh expose
With parted lips the palest rose
I dare to dream he'll want me

As waves that crash on rocky shore
All my passion against him bore
Yet moved him not no mark he wore
He will forever haunt me
