I Feel You

To the girl with lines on her thighs
I fell you
To the turreted soul a ways from me
I feel you
To the gay hiding in the closet
I feel you
To the child who’s been hurt
I feel you
To the girl starving herself
I feel you
To the beaten, broken, hurt and lonely.
I feel you.
I’ve been all these things and more.
To the girl with lines on her thighs…
Put down your blade you’re beautiful enough
To the gay in the closet…
Ill welcome you with a hug
It’s dark in there
To the child hurting…
Come to me
Ill shelter you
To the girl starving yourself
You’re too skinny
I’ll make you your favorite things
Come all to me
I know your pain
Your struggles
The scars you hide
The guilt you die over
I’ll give you the warmth you never had
Even if it’s just for a moment
A flicker in time
I want you to have
A happy memory of a stranger
Who…
Didn’t hurt you
Didn’t stop caring
Told you to put down the blade
Eat some more
Come to the light
I know how this feels
I know how it is
Because
I am one of you.
