I Feel

I feel pain, so much pain,
Through the sunshine, through the rain.
I feel angry for the way I was raised,
Never being proud of or even praised.
I feel betrayed for not being taught
The values in life; I became so very distraught.
I feel so lost and all alone,
Not even knowing how truly strong I have grown.
I feel I deserve so much more,
And I will work so hard to open that door.
I feel it's time to take charge and live life,
I will protect my heart with swords and knifes.
Feelings can be such a powerful thing,
For each day, positive feelings I will bring.
