I Guess I’m the Last

By Carla

I guess it’s all… all right
If everything changes.

The days became so long
Before I had a chance to see
The real you dancing before me.
No, I’m not your first choice,
But I guess I’m the last.

I will survive even if I’m not …
Good enough to consult.
I sit up late watching Orion’s belt, and
You take the money and then tell me.
How is that for a kick in the head?
I might as well spit on the ground
For all it’s worth.

I will survive
The real you.
