I Hate I Love You

I love you.
But I hate "I love you"
How can three words express how much you mean to me?
I need you like a heart needs a beat, and the birds need the trees.
I know it's cliche, but, honestly, so is valentine's day.
You are the peanut butter to my jelly,
When you smile I get butterflies in my belly.
I can't string enough words together
To show how I'm slowly falling for you like a feather.
You're a piece of art. Van Gogh.
You have the beauty of a poem, Edgar Allan Poe.
Your smile is the bright stars at night
When we're camping and laying in the moonlight.
And yes, I know this poem is cheesy
But talking to you is easy peasy.
And it's how I honestly feel.
I love your sarcasm and the face you make when you're mad
I love the way you blush when you're embarrassed
And the way you're so rad.
Love is the longest four letter word.
Yet, it is a baby bird, fragile.
At the same time it as strong as a glue.
And, I still say, I love you.
