I Just Don’t Know

By J

I don't know why people buy books just to read them once and sit them on a shelf,
it just ruins trees and wastes oxygen.
I don't know why birds and bees are used as metaphors for sex,
it just ruins the whole meaning of the two animals.
I don't know why the sky is blue and the grass is green,
pondering that just ruins the wonder left in life.
And I don't know why I cannot for the life of me find a connection with another human,
it just ruins me.

I just don't seem to know who I really am right now.
