I Know You’re There

A husky whisper, enduring and deafening
With one sound, my heart is listening
Jumping and racing with a click of the tongue
With one word, bonds and shackles are wrapped around

A piercing gaze, pure and brown
Can freeze you to the ground
Closer and closer those eyes get
Closer and closer my heart melts
Those eyes so hot and soft
I can't help but forget
All my worries, all my tears
Just vanish and disappear

His lips seductive and toxicating,
I can't help but want a kiss
Yearn and want, My hearts desires
Stranded on a cold, cold island

Watching from one side, we both do
Wanting to reach through this glass
That appears to be a window

This Poems Story

I was born in Alaska on a small farm. Throughout my life I got to experience things not everyone can. I participated in a 4-H program, auctioning young beef. Using my winning funds to travel to new places in the world. I visited beautiful places and incredible people. These people helped inspire my artistic values. My art consists of poetry, painting with acrylic and oil paint, shading, sketching, and other pencil work. This specific piece was inspired by my best friend and the love of my life. This piece portrays my love for him. No matter the distance.
