i lost my map.

i lost my map a long time ago
but then i lost my car
and things were tough
but i still had my legs
so it was fine
until i lost my breath

without direction
or drive
i began to suffocate in small spread out increments

the confusion and exhaustion got to my head
and i started to think that this world wasn’t for me

i was right
this world wasn’t built for you & me
but we were built for it

i still haven’t found my map
and i haven’t found my car
but i still have my legs
and i’ve relocated my breath

so i can walk
and i can run
and i can dance
and i can breathe

maybe that is all i need to find what the world needs from me
