I Love You

The break in your heart, brings a tear to my eye.
I send a dart, but I hear you cry.
When you fell apart, I was standing with a pie.

I know it hurts now, but soon you will rise.
You may ask, how? I say, look to the skies.
Allow, him to compromise.

I'm here to help, with a helping hand.
You yelp, and demand.
But here I stand,
With a helping hand.

This Poems Story

I would like to say thank you to my loving family for all of their support. It means a lot. The inspiration for this poem came when my little sister and her boyfriend broke up. This poem was basically a letter to her saying life has its ups and downs, but, I will always be here with my heart on a platter. This poem deconstructs the relationship between my sister and I, and as my mother always says, communication is key.
