I love You

You haunt me from the land of the living.
Our love is in the land of the dead.
Our hearts in ashes
and our memories in tombs like those of the kings.
locked and lavished with the remnants of our kisses, late nights, fights, and moments too precious to be forgotten.
You come to me in my dreams.
Telling me your lies as if you have proven me differently.
Lies so sweet I pray to God to let me believe.
Believe in you like I have foolishly done for so many years.
Forgiving your mistakes, and you unforgiving of mine.
No second chances nor patience lives within a single inch of you.
A single breath is all I get, one last say before you rip me apart.

“I love you.”
