I Miss You

You don't blush at strangers,
So don't make me out to be one.
We're not in love anymore,
But don't act like it wasn't fun.

All I wanted was to be acknowledged
For the good times that we had
Before you went away to college,
Like the first time I met your dad,

So don't push me out.
We did nothing wrong.
I'd love to keep a friend,
I just want you to be strong.

See the thing is I miss you,
And that's me being real.
I can't say that I love you,
But that's how I feel.
