I Miss You

What can I say? I miss you.
Not that I'm missing only you, but a piece of me too.
You lift me up with your angelic touch.
With every word, my soul restores.
With every look, my heart can rest.
Without you, my heart ceases to beat within my chest.
The soft sound of your laughs,
the gentle touch of your gaze,
your stupendous beauty, like being lost in a maze.
You've seen me in my darkness, you know my true name.
But with lack of judgment and fear you came.
With one touch, with the ease of your whisper,
I could breathe, and was no longer sinister.
But the time drew on, and the day has come,
to say goodbye, yet remember what you've done.
As I leave you, keep in mind one thing,
this wound now reopened, festers and stings.
Yet despite my pain, I need you to know,
I love you my friend, even though I must go.
