I Once Dreamt

I once dreamt that I was a bird,
To be free and to fly;
Both mean everything to me.
I was a hawk, soaring above the trees,
I once dreamt again that I was a bird,
A dove, flying high,
I once dreamt that I was a bird,
To be profoundly happy and to fly;
Both mean everything to me.
I was a Golden Eagle over a mountain,
I once dreamt again that I was a bird,
A Great Grey Owl, hunting at night,
I once dreamt that I was a bird,
To be soaring and to fly;
Both mean everything to me.
I was a hummingbird, dodging rain,
I once dreamt that I was a bird,
To be free and to fly;
Both mean everything to me.

This Poems Story

My parents and my two pet gerbils are my biggest fans. I would also like to thank my seventh grade teacher, Mr. Luke Bader. He is the reason I love to write. I get my inspiration from nature, I love to watch birds, other animals, and the sun rise from my window. I love being out in nature. It's relaxing to get away from the hustle and bustle of large cities. Thank you for giving me a chance to be published, it's an oportunity of a lifetime.
