I Remember

By

I still remember that summer with you,
out in the lake on a sunny, breezy day,
I still remember your laughter,
specially when that rock hit your knee,
I still remember the tears that came right after,
even though you tried to hide them from me,
I still remember how flat and slimy the rock felt,
how dark and wet it was, slowly flying towards you,
I still remember my arm hurting after I threw it,
it was never on purpose but it still hit you,
I still remember how mom came running down that hill,
thinking you were seriously hurt,
but we just started laughing until our stomachs hurt.
I still remember that day, that hour, that minute,
I still remember that rock,
I still remember,
I will always remember.

I want it all back.
