I See the Moon

I see the moon and all the beauty she holds
every time I gaze into your eyes.
I see the sun's shining glow as the morning unfolds
every time you let go and smile.
I feel the air of a summer's night
as your breath shares the space on my neck.
I feel the bitter chill of winter's bite
whenever your presence is absent.
I sink into the leaves that fall from the trees,
their colors swirling remind me of your soul.
And I welcome the ghouls on Hallow's Eve
so that I know never to become one of them.
I lie in the grass as the spring time blooms
and the birds sing a song just for you.
But when the nighttime arrives,
I feel no demise,
for not in the sky,
but deep in your eyes,
I see the moon.
I see the moon.
