I See You
I wish there was a way
To show you to yourself someday
I want you to see what I do
Every time I look at you
You see flaws and all the trivial
I see the pain and I see survival
To you it just feels like weakness
But to me, it is your sweetness
You've been hurt before I know
But for me this is no show
You hold it in and shut me out
But that isn't what this is all about
I can't say this will last forever,
But, I certainly can't say never
I'm yours now, can't you see?
This is where I want to be
I'm not looking anymore
I've already closed that door
This isn't something I expected
But it sure is nice to be respected
I hope you see I'm here to stay
This isn't a game I'm trying to play
Can you tell that I see you?
Do you think you see me too?
Can I take this risk with you?
Do you even want me to?
