I Stand Solitary in a Vacant Room (A Decima/Espinela)

I stand solitary in a vacant room-
Vacant yes, but erstwhile complete.
My bygone memories replete
The crannies of this empty room;
This lonesome place was once illumed
With gladsome sights of childhood days;
Underneath the sun’s golden rays
Life was all but a blissful game.
Alas! All vanished like a flame!
The life I valued- taken, gone!
Now disfurnished and left with none,
I stand solitary in a vacant room.
