I Survived

Under anesthesia twilight,
A medicated fog.
Things were kind of fuzzy,
And my memory's hard to jog.
Bits and pieces come together,
Trying to form a thought.
Chunks of time cannot be placed,
And a picture cannot be sought.
A story's told to make it clear,
So I could understand.
That my life stood hanging there,
That I was in God's hands.
I lay sore and broken still,
But I know that I'm alive.
What a miracle it is to know,
That I was meant to survive.
