I Used to Drink Booze

I used to drink booze until I did lose:

I lost my job, I lost my wife

I lost my kids and finally my life.

I sit here in jail wasting away

hoping that maybe I'll be out some day.

I realize with booze you are bound to lose

so please, if you would, do not start

for all it will do is crush your heart.

Them black bags I liked them just for a while,

that THC gave me one hell of a smile,

that heroin just loved to kick my ass,

that LSD gave me one hell of a blast.

If I had to do it all over again

I don't think I would,'cause look where I am.

The Lord is almighty, I believe this is true;

He watches when you don't, and even when you do.

He will always be there when you need him the most,

Him: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

From that I say, walk this way

and choose to live your life today.

Heed what I say, I do not lie,

you only have one life, you can live it or die.
