I Want to Dance
I want to dance,
Write the words to a novel with the pointes of my feet
Or a tilt of my head.
I want to dream the deafening flutter of a thousand hands,
Their awestruck glow
Lighting up our grateful existence.
I want to brim the sky with the spices of our hearts, a curry sunrise
Of desires and dreams.
I want them to see the beautiful tragedies of our world,
Paint a canvas with the blood and tears
That stain the pink satin of our lives.
The accepted truth that we are pouring our souls
Into a broken bird
Of tulle and feathers.
