I Was

By T48

I love you with all of my heart as it will slowly mend, it's time our story comes to an end.
I release any hurt and pain in our life, and cherish stolen moments, as you say I am Stephanie and mommy no more.
I take back my life and my being whole-heartedly, most important I take back my true identity.
So long my son, I pray you get all that you deserve.
I wish you the brightest of sun's and the most bluest skies.
And in the dark nights when you feel a tug at your heart,
always know, my love will follow and it is I who loved you enough to let you go.
Mommy.

This Poems Story

This poem is about my adopted son whom I've raised since he was 10 months old. He is now 17. He has chosen to live with biological mom, I can't fight against a lie, so ill let truth arise in its time. My son I miss him everyday.
