I Was Born This Way

Won't apologize for things I feel
I'm not sorry that I think Santa Clause might be real
I'm not ashamed that I sometimes stutter when I speak
I'm not embarrassed that I like different milk than you drink
I never noticed that we don't have the same color skin
Just cause I'm not running with two real
legs doesn't mean I still can't win
I don't want to be a jock, my ego needs no inflating
You don't talk to me? That's fine, cause after school
I do debating
Ladies you don't have to hold my hands, I'm busy reaching
for the stars
I need the exercise so I don't mind not getting a ride in
your car
It doesn't offend me when you guys talk about my haircut
Or how when there's a project in class, with me no one will pair up
I may not be able to walk, but I'm still able to fly
I know I'm beautiful, so when you say I'm ugly, I never cry
I'll never change myself, no matter what you say
Ask me why and I'll tell you; cause I was born this way
