I was looking for you

I searched the land and crossed the sea
I searched to find true love for me
I’ve gone over the mountains and crossed the plains
In auto’s, boats, and planes, and trains

Were you looking for Me

I raised my hand and jumped up and down
I hollered and yelled and acted like a clown
I washed my face and combed my hair
In hopes my dear you’d see me there

Hold strong

Hold strong my love and wait for me
I’ll make it worth your while, you’ll see
This search my love will not be through
Until I read this poem to you
